Connecting Southern Gold Coast was created by Gold Coast City Council to foster economic growth and development in the Southern Gold Coast region.

Its objective is to promote business, lifestyle, tourism, creative arts and events within the eight distinctive villages – Currumbin, Currumbin Valley, Currumbin Waters, Tugun, Bilinga, Kirra, Coolangatta and Rainbow Bay.

Connecting Southern Gold Coast is independently governed by a Board of Directors, who represent a diverse range of business and professional backgrounds, including environmental, tourism and academia. An administrative team is also in place at the Connecting Southern Gold Coast office, which is located in Tugun.
